1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BiteClip, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

BiteClip is a recipe extraction service that uses AI to convert cooking videos and webpages into structured, easy-to-follow recipes. We support extraction from YouTube, Instagram, and web pages, with additional platforms coming soon.

3. User Accounts

To use BiteClip, you must:

• Be at least 13 years old
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or restrictions
• Extract content you don't have rights to access
• Resell or redistribute extracted recipes commercially without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Use automated tools to access the service excessively
• Reverse engineer or attempt to access our source code

5. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain all rights to recipes you extract. We store them to provide the service to you.

Our Service: BiteClip's software, algorithms, and design are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them.

Source Content: When extracting recipes, you should respect the original content creator's rights. Use extracted recipes for personal use unless you have permission for commercial use.

6. Payment and Refund Policy

All fees are in USD and processed securely through our payment provider (Stripe). Applicable taxes may be added at checkout based on your billing address.

6.1 Subscriptions

• 14-day money-back guarantee: New subscribers may request a full refund within 14 days of the initial purchase, provided that usage during the period does not exceed the monthly credits of the free plan. Contact support@biteclip.app to request a refund.
• Recurring renewals: Renewal payments are non-refundable. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing page — your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
• Partial periods: We do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial months or years of service.

6.2 Additional Credit Packs

• Credit packs are one-time purchases and are generally non-refundable once the credits have been applied to your account.
• If credits were granted in error (e.g., duplicate charge, payment processor glitch), contact support within 7 days for a review and potential refund.
• Credits purchased as part of an add-on pack do not expire as long as your account remains in good standing.

6.3 How to Request a Refund

Email support@biteclip.app from the email address on your account with the following:

• The order or subscription ID (found in your receipt email)
• The reason for the refund request
• The payment method used

We aim to review refund requests within 3 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

6.4 Chargebacks

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. Unsolicited chargebacks may result in account suspension and forfeiture of any remaining credits or subscription time.

7. Limitation of Liability

BiteClip is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Accuracy of extracted recipes
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Loss of data or content
• Indirect or consequential damages

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the last 12 months.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your access to the service will cease, but these terms will continue to apply.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
